The Greatest Krypto Stories Ever Told

Flex Mentallo

Morrison's Doom Patrol, starting with adding the deleted subplot pages back into "Crawling From the Wreckage"

Morrison's first Flash arc, with the completely botched page by Paul Ryan corrected

Superboy in the 60s

Golden-Age Super Villains--collecting the best stories from the later periods of GL, Flash, etc. featuring the Icicle, Harlequin, Sprotsmaster, etc.

Aquaman in Adventure--reprinting the mid-70s run drawn by Aparo

The original "Bat-Murderer?" storyline from mid-70s Detective

more Sandman Mystery Theatre--which sounds like it may actually happen; I'd be especially happy if it led to some revival material by Davis and Wagner or Seagle

Wish:
Complete Secret Society of Supervillains in 2 or 3 volumes

Realistic:

Finish the Starman run. They sell, DC should not be dithering it completing this trade collection

Zantanna: The Search for Zatara. It will sell. Nuff said.

At least the second half of Scott McCloud's run on Superman Adventures. They were just some very cool, very streamlined, very underappreciated adventure stories. DC just repackaged Batman: Mad Love with the rest of Paul Dini's material, and I think McCloud on Superman is an equally-deserving little gem. Real simple nine or ten dollar book, but it'd be great.

I'll go with finishing the Starman run. I'd also like to see Titans Hunt collected. And a collection of the satellite era JLA/JSA crossovers.

I certainly agree with you sentiments for the Superman Adventures. When I dropped the 4 core super-titles after the Emperor Joker storyline, SA was my only dose of Superman. It is sorely missed by this reader.

What subplot pages were deleted??
I don't remember anything missing -- though it's been so long aince I read the issues or the TPB.

Was it subplot pages for future DP storylines? Or did the pages relate to other things happening in the DCU? (In which case I can understand why they may have been taken out).

The deleted pages were basically intros for The Brotherhood of Dada. The pages were pretty much stand-alone, so there's nothing really missing in the first TPB as far as that storyline is concerned.

...The Brotherhood of Dada being the antagonists in the following arc, BTW. They would appear in the second TPB -- perhaps the deleted pages should appear there...

Not that anyone at DC will ever check this out, but what the hell:

The Doom Patrol - Morrison's run.
Hellblazer: Ennis' run.
Animal Man: Morrison's final issues.

Kamandi, The Last Boy on Earth: The entire Kirby run.
The Demon: Kirby's run.
Weird Mystery Tales: The entire series.

I'd love a trade of Titans Hunt or the rest of the Books of Magic.

So much stuff, so few trees…

I want to see Rucka’s Detective finished, Brubaker’s Batman started, Grell’s Green Arrow started, Hellblazer get more even treatment, not to mention some older Bronze Age Batman, Green Arrow, and the Shadow. Then there’s Ostrander’s Suicide Squad and Spectre…

But what I most want is to see Starman and Sandman Mystery Theatre finished. Both are great series and its absurd how long their collections are taking.

I know this may be the wrong crowd to bring this up to, but is anyone else amazed that DC doesn’t do consistent series of trades for its key characters, most notably Batman. I thinking of the Marvel treatment of their franchises like Spider-Man and X-Men. I don’t read either, but it’d be nice to see Bats get that kind of consistent treatment instead of crossover, cluster$%&* every blue moon. I don’t particularly like Hush, but wouldn’t that serve as a good point of demarcation to start collecting the entire run? Dead Reckoning could serve as a similar role for Detective.
